Pueri Cantores St. Joseph – The Little Singers of Kampala, Uganda
Founded in 2015, Pueri Cantores St. Joseph is a nonprofit musical organization dedicated to transforming lives through the power of music and performance. Based in Kampala, Uganda, we provide class musical training and create opportunities for young people—especially displaced and vulnerable communities—to thrive.
Our mission goes beyond music. We advocate for child protection, education, climate action, mental health, and dignity for all, using music as a transformative tool for social change.

What we do
MORE THAN MUSIC
We are more than a choir—we are a movement. Through music and community engagement, we:
-
Offer musical training and performance opportunities for youth aged 8–25.
-
Support displaced people and refugees, fostering solidarity and cultural exchange.
-
Advocate for child protection and human rights, training children, parents, and communities.
-
Promote education, providing scholarships and mentorship for school-aged children.
-
Champion climate action, planting 100 trees yearly and educating youth on waste management.
-
Prioritize mental health: focus on our members and other children. Using music as a tool for mental health
-
Cultural exchange and strong collaboration between refugees from Congo DRC, Burundi, Rwanda, and local Ugandans.
-
Music: Performing is what we love most—and what we do best. Music is our most powerful tool to challenge hostile narratives around immigration and displacement. Through song, we stand for dignity, safety, and hope, ensuring that every person can rebuild their life and contribute to their community.
